I have just published a book which was edited and designed by Stylus Design.
The book was produced beautifully, colourful and interesting while the work done to improve the imagery and photographs was inspiring. My readers saw images of themselves they had never been able to recognise.
The book was about Yugoslavs, so many names were accented and the spelling complicated – it was important to my interviewees that their names were spelt correctly. This proved not to be a problem for Valda, Graham and Harry who tackled the task with humour and dedication. Their editing and attention to detail was second to none. I would highly recommend their services to any author wishing to publish.

Gallery East have worked with Stylus Design for the production of the catalogues of Between the Sheets: Artists’ Books 2015, 2017, and 2019 and can testify wholeheartedly to the professionalism, efficiency, timeliness, patience and great good humour which Valda and Harry have acted throughout.
The detailed cataloguing of up to 75 individual artists’ works demands close attention to detail, a spot on editor’s eye, design flair and an empathy for the material. Stylus have excelled at all four. Left to our own devices, our catalogues would have been much poorer and flawed.
We cannot recommend them too highly.

As one of the top public schools in Western Australia, we needed a high end graphic design team to support the regular marketing collateral we distribute. This includes full colour newsletters (36–48 pages), annual reports, theatre programs and posters, editorial support for venue hire documentation and the restyle of official documents.
Their support in branding directly contributed to the launch of a number of new products at the school. From our experience Stylus Design are the best team to promote our students and introduce them to the wider community through excellent graphics.

It has been a pleasure working with the Stylus Design Team and they delivered an exceptional outcome to the project. The whole process from the beginning to the end has been very smooth and painless to the Client. Valda and Graham went above and beyond by undertaking tasks such as doing extensive historical research, identifying and speaking to relevant stakeholders and also liaising with the manufacturer to ensure that they are provided with the appropriate input files. They listened to our brief and have come up with a beautiful graphic which hopefully the Community will cherish and embrace for many years to come. Looking forward to the next one! Thank you again.

Just a quick email to let you and the Stylus team know that the school is thrilled with the latest newsletter, with several people telling me it is the best newsletter they have seen.
Thanks for all your hard work (and patience!).

World Press Photo Perth is a global press photography agency and our reputation is built on producing high quality work. As we are relatively new to Perth we relied on the local expertise of Stylus Design to establish ourselves in this market.
Their professionalism, quick output and genuine business acumen ensured we were able to do this. As our work includes community projects involving sensitive material we depended on them to produce deliverables that regularly changed from our initial brief. Their patience and timely output is to be commended and we thank them for their service.

Style, integrity, flair and close cooperation are just some of the many plusses that made working with Stylus Design a pleasing and worthwhile exercise.
Good communication between the author and editor/ designers meant that editorial suggestions, index and references and the location and enhancements of photographs made the final stages of putting the manuscript together a simpler and carefree task. I am still impressed by their willingness to familiarise themselves with the locality featured in my sixth book, Cottesloe a Town of Distinction and their efforts to photograph scenes not readily available.
Intent on making the publication a success and not just a commercial venture the designers’ flexibility, when approached to add two late-discovered photographs and slightly altered text in the final stages before going to print, was not only unusual but highly appreciated.
Presentation would have been one of the key issues taken into account when the book designed by Stylus Design won the History Category in the 2008 WA Premier’s Book Award.

Stylus Design and the National Trust of Western Australia commenced their working relationship earlier this year.
In a short period Stylus Design adapted to our style guide and produced output which met the high standards expected from Government. We found their personnel to be professional, creative and adaptable to any blockers along the way.
Their prices are competitive and their ability to meet deadlines was impressive. We wouldn’t hesitate to consult them for future projects.

You are a bloody marvel at turning bland text into something worth reading!

I have worked with Stylus over the past four years and now have to say that I rely on them.
Stylus have presented the WANTFA Journal since its inception, adjusting its style to reflect the needs of growers and have typeset a 300 page book written by myself and colleagues. Throughout, Stylus made suggestions and worked with me to greatly improve the quality and the rigour of the final publication.
Stylus' eye, communication and pursuit for quality have always been at the highest standard with excellent turn around times. The Stylus team have become a real necessity for not just presenting our work, but for improving the way we communicate findings in the best and targeted way.
